The FCN is an industry body and member-based organisation that promotes the development of an informed,
connected, and competitive fashion industry. We aim to do so by facilitating the
positioning of Namibian fashion as an authentic cultural product,
through creating opportunities in local, African and global communities, and markets.

The Fashion Council of Namibia (FCN) was established in 2015 as a non-profit Section 21 Company.
The Fashion Council of Namibia was created in 2017 to explore ways of coordinating and formalizing the Namibian fashion. It’s establishment further developed in exhibiting the authentic and unique scene, as showcasing Namibian designers and industry craftsmen and craftswomen who build Namibia’s position as a major player in the fashion arena.
The Fashion Council of Namibia consists of a group of individuals from various creative backgrounds, volunteering their time and talents to uplift the fashion industry within Namibia. They contribute in a number of ways, providing skills and creating a platform for Namibians to appreciate fashion within this country.
The Fashion Council of Namibia holds an aesthetic identity which includes an inclusive thread, localised production and cultural elevation as focal values in growing an effective Namibian Fashion Industry.
The Fashion Council of Namibia’s Board meets once a week for strategic meetings, where initiatives and Namibian fashion focused projects are extensively discussed and designed by members, with the aim towards a sustainable future.
